Smart Sensors Incorporated Obtains Explosion Proof &
Flamepath Certifications for Temperature Sensor Assemblies
(Houston, Texas, USA - November 29, 2017) Smart Sensors
Incorporated (SSi) enhances its extensive collection of temperature
sensor configurations, by obtaining Explosion Proof certification from
FM, cFM and Flameproof designation from ATEX, and IEC Ex'd for their
temperature sensor assemblies.
The explosion proof and flameproof certifications apply to assemblies
that use designated Explosion Proof Aluminum (EPA) or Explosion Proof
Stainless Steel (EPS) head types and enhanced flame path designated
fittings that are now available with the Smart Sensors series HUNS,
1440, 1443, and 1445 products. A full range of thermowell options
with the option of agency certified temperature transmitters can be
selected for a complete explosion proof/flame path temperature assembly.

includes many new addition to its expanding Temperature Sensors Line

(Houston, Texas) Smart Sensors Incorporated (SSi), a leading
manufacturer of thermocouple elements, RTD sensors, thermowell
elements, industrial assemblies and specialty surface temperature
sensors, announces the release of its updated Temperature
Sensors Catalog.
The new 38-page catalog
allows customers to view photos and descriptions of the extensive
selection of RTDs, thermocouples, and thermowells that SSi offers for
your specific application.
The
updated catalog also includes the latest additions to the expanding
portfolio of SSi Temperature Sensor products: Bimetal
Thermometers, a new LCD display option for the Temperature Sensors, and
Explosion Proof Assemblies that have FM, cFM, ATEX and IECEx approvals
(Certifications Pending). The display is a 5-digit, backlit, loop
powered LCD display enclosed in an explosion proof housing with
terminal block connections inside. For easy configuration of the
display, push buttons are provided on the front of the display.
